Central Announces Faculty Promotions
Central Seminary is pleased to announce the promotions of three faculty members in recognition of their exemplary service, academic achievement, and commitment to preparing leaders for ministry and service.
Dr. Lindsay Bonebrake has been promoted to Professor. Dr. Bonebrake serves as Director of the Master of Arts in Counseling program at Central Seminary and has been instrumental in shaping and expanding the seminary’s counseling education offerings. A licensed professional counselor supervisor in Missouri and a licensed clinical professional counselor supervisor in Kansas, she brings extensive clinical, supervisory, and educational experience to her work. Her professional background includes service in residential treatment, school counseling in Kansas City, Kansas, and community mental health practice. Dr. Bonebrake is also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and maintains national credentials in clinical mental health counseling. Through her leadership, teaching, scholarship, and mentorship of students, she has significantly strengthened Central’s commitment to counselor preparation and holistic care.
Gyounghee Lee has been promoted to Attendant Faculty. Ms. Lee serves as Coordinator of the Masters in Christian Care and Counseling program within Central’s Korean Programs department. She teaches a variety of counseling-related courses and plays a key role in preparing students for effective ministry and caregiving. Ms. Lee holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Divinity degree from Central. She previously served as a pastoral counselor in a Korean American church in Illinois and currently practices as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Through her teaching, leadership, and counseling expertise, Ms. Lee has made meaningful contributions to the formation of students who serve as faithful leaders in their churches and communities.
Rev. Dr. Young Ho Son has been promoted to Attendant Faculty. Through his dedicated teaching, scholarship, and service within Central’s Korean Programs, Dr. Son has enriched the educational experience of students and contributed significantly to the seminary’s mission of theological education and ministry preparation. His faithful leadership and commitment to student success have strengthened both the program and the broader seminary community.
“These promotions recognize the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of these faculty members,” said President Pamela R. Durso. “Dr. Bonebrake, Ms. Lee, and Dr. Son have each demonstrated a deep commitment to our students and to Central’s mission. We are grateful for their service and delighted to celebrate their achievements.”
