There is a saying that practice without theory is blind as if theory without practice is empty. I believe that without personal experience of God and his revelation in Jesus Christ, our reason and tradition are also empty. I have this conviction and that’s why I have been engaged in both “theory” and “praxis” for more than a decade. I have not only delved into “theory” (biblical studies) but also “praxis” (biblical archaeology because it has to do with material culture and ministry). What I do at Central is an extension of this balancing between theory and practice for myself and for others. I believe Central is the best place to make the Great Commission practical based on the most up-to-date scholarly endeavors.
