Location: Virtual

Join with leaders of the Freedom Church of the Poor, including Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis and members of the Central Seminary community, to learn about how and why the Freedom Church of the Poor emerged in March 2020. The Freedom Church of the Poor is dedicated to being a spiritual community of leaders of the movement to end poverty led by the poor and to providing space for spiritual grounding, reflection, and pastoral care to movement leaders. This panel of leaders also includes authors of the upcoming book We Cry Justice: Reading the Bible with the Poor People’s Campaign. One attendee will be randomly selected to win an advanced copy of the book to be released in October 2021.

Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis is Director of Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice and the Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.
