Cultural Competency in Congregational Leadership

Welcome to Central’s 3-Part Video Series on Cultural Competency in Congregational Leadership

In recent years, Central Seminary has been at the forefront of providing culturally competent theological education in an inclusive and supportive environment. As our communities continue to transform into the increasingly diverse places we live and worship, cultural competence is a more important skill for leaders to embrace than ever before. Today’s most effective congregational leaders–both lay and ordained–seek to recognize and respect the differences within their churches and neighborhoods, and to serve and minister across those differences in healthy, informed, and compassionate ways. Thanks to the generosity of the Henry Luce Foundation, we are proud to present this video series and discussion guide as a tool for congregations as they shape their own future in a multicultural world.
