Building bridges, bringing diverse people together to become the body of Christ is my vocation.
I am a bridge builder who reaches across theological, geographical, and cultural divides to relate to people and pastors in many different kinds of situations, always bringing people closer to each other and closer to God. I am someone who listens deeply and responds out of a recognition of God’s giftedness in each and every person before me. I am someone who cares widely and looks for ways to be attentive to God’s ever-abundant grace in our midst.
Building bridges, bringing diverse people together to become the body of Christ is my vocation. This has emerged out of my core theological belief that we are all created in God’s image. The form this has recently taken is to serve as the National Director for Women in Ministry [ABC/USA] where I hope to advocate for the utilization of all the gifts of God given to all God’s people. Because women’s gifts for ministry are often overlooked, underutilized, or blatantly blocked, my hope is to find ways to open doors and opportunities for women, that we may all live as partners in a mutual ministry, fully living out God’s image in our lives and God’s design for our ministry.
I am drawn to a DMin program as a way of sharpening my skills, deepening my faith, reflecting theologically and biblically on issues related to women in ministry, and strengthening the ministry of ABWIM for the benefit of all.
