Jim Michel will lead participants through a discussion about rethinking the space of their church building and how it could be used. Michel serves as a Building and Capital Services Advisor for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where he partners with congregations on building assessment, capital planning, fundraising, and financial strategy through the Disciples Church Extension Fund. With decades of experience in engineering, surveying, and organizational leadership, Jim previously served as vice president and survey manager for Anderson Engineering Inc. and was a founding leader of Sprenkle & Associates, Inc. He has guided churches through facility planning, redevelopment, and disaster recovery efforts, including supporting congregations impacted by the 2011 Joplin tornado. Jim is passionate about helping churches create sustainable, mission-focused spaces that serve their communities for generations to come.
