Senior Director of Development Joins Leadership Team

Central Seminary is pleased to announce that Janet Pace has joined our staff and been named Senior Director of Development. Janet has more than 30 years experience working in non-profit arenas, both as a volunteer board member and paid staff. For the past three years, she served as the Vice President of Development and Philanthropy at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she successfully secured major grants and grew the donor base.

In December 2022, Janet completed her Master of Divinity degree at Central. She sees this new role as “an opportunity to give back in some small measure” for the transformative theological education that Central provided for her, believing that her strengths and passion for fund development will ensure that future students have the same opportunities for learning and growth that she experienced.

President Pam Durso said, “It is a pleasure to welcome Janet to our Central community in this new role. She brings a wealth of experience, great energy and enthusiasm, and deep appreciation for her time as a student at Central. She has the perfect blend of skills and passion that the seminary needs to thrive in our school’s next season.”

Janet earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Journalism and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degrees from Southern Methodist University. Her first day at Central was January 17, 2023.
