In addition, two Central students (Amy Baer and Francisco Litardo) will also be going to Burma to participate in the “Doing Theology Under the Bo Tree” seminar at the Myanmar Institute of Theology.
It will be a busy summer of experiencing God’s work around our world. This is a significant part of Central’s commitment to Global Christianity and to encounter God all over God’s world. The emphasis of Global Christianity has always been part of Central’s story. Central has a long history of training those called into Missions and receiving friends from other countries who come to Central for their theological education.
Central is enriched by those who come to the seminary from other countries. Currently we have one student from India, Mary Ramavathu, studying at Central. We look forward to short-term visits from faculty and students from Myanmar (Burma) once we have our proposed International Student Housing completed on our Shawnee campus. We hope these short term faculty visits will help us offer theological training to the many new Burmese refugees coming to the States.
Please be in prayer for all as they travel. Also feel free to invite any of these folks to share about their experience at your church. It would be a great way to hear firsthand about God’s activity in these various places.
