Updated MA(TS) Degree Program

Central Updates MATS Degree and Outlines Dual Degree [MDiv/MA(TS)]

After review of curriculum and degree effectiveness, the Faculty Senate of the seminary voted to update the Master of Arts (Theological Studies) degree program.  The accepted changes provide a better reflection of the intended purposes of the program and target more accurately persons who show interest in the program.

The Master of Arts (Theological Studies) will now have two tracks requiring the completion of 48 credits.

TRACK ONE: Research - for students who desire foundation for further studies in the theological disciplines at the doctoral level. Students may choose to specialize in Biblical Studies, Christian Heritage, or Theology

DUAL DEGREE PROGRAM [MDiv/MA(TS)]

Students who wish to earn both the Master of Divinity degree and the Master of Arts (Theological Studies) may apply to enter the dual degree program.  Completion of the program requires 99 credits, in accordance with accreditation standards.  Students will complete all of the Master of Divinity coursework along with the following 24 credits in the MA(TS) Research track:
